  • The costs of a driver’s license are divided into three main categories:

    1. Administrative fees from the cantonal vehicle department.

The costs related to the cantonal vehicle department include examination fees (both theoretical and practical), issuance of permits (learner’s permit and credit card-sized permit), and administrative fees. These costs typically range from 260 CHF to 290 CHF for a new driver, depending on the desired category.

    1. Driving education (1st phase).

The costs of driving education are divided into two parts: mandatory courses and optional courses. Mandatory course fees are approximately 260 CHF. Optional course fees vary for each learner driver and can amount to several thousand francs. Our packages will significantly reduce these costs!

    1. Additional training (2nd phase).

The additional training, known as the 2nd phase, costs around 350 CHF per day. These costs can be spread out over the 3-year probationary period following the practical examination.

  • The steps outlining the path to obtaining your driver’s license are detailed in our ‘process’ menu. The first step is to obtain a learner’s permit by passing the theory exam. From that point, the practical phase can begin, leading to the successful completion of the practical driving exam. Only after this does the second phase of the license start, which lasts for 3 years.

It is very difficult to determine how long it will take to get your driver’s license, as everyone is different. However, we recommend the following points to reduce your training time:

    • Take time to practice. Do it regularly, even if it’s not for long periods.
    • Complete your awareness course at the beginning of your practical training.
    • Build a solid foundation with a professional (technical phase) before driving privately.
    • Coordinate with your instructor and your supervising driver. Communicate!

Alternate between private driving and lessons with your instructor to avoid developing bad habits.
