Practical driving course

Driving lessons are given in 75-minute sessions (i.e. 1h15 – ideal duration). With your instructor, you'll practice according to your needs and preferences, using our vehicles either with automatic transmission (default) or manual. Each session will be tracked in a virtual training card that you can access anytime from your client area.
This course is for you if you’ve passed the theory test and obtained your learner’s permit.
To attend, you must hold a valid learner’s permit for category B (car), which you’ll need to bring with you to each session.

Practical driver training is structured in several stages, with the goal of enabling you to drive safely in all types of traffic. Each stage is designed to help you gradually reach specific objectives as you progress in difficulty.

All stages are tracked in a training progress card that you can access at any time.

The stages are:

  1. Preliminary training
  2. Basic training
  3. Main training
  4. Practice / Improvement
  5. Manoeuvres
  6. Independent driving

Our teaching approach is based on personalized coaching tailored to your needs. During your one-on-one sessions with your instructor, you will learn and practice all the movement sequences needed to master your vehicle, and you’ll drive on all types of roads and traffic conditions in preparation for your practical exam.

Your instructor is there to teach, guide you toward discovering things on your own, assist you, and reassure you in more challenging situations.

At the end of your training, you’ll go through an evaluation phase, carried out either by your regular instructor or by another one to closely simulate real exam conditions. Don’t hesitate to request it when the time comes.

The final exam will take place at the Cantonal Road Traffic Office in your canton of residence. You’ll be evaluated over a period of 60 minutes, during which all aspects of driving may be tested, from manoeuvres to motorway driving. If you successfully demonstrate your driving skills, you’ll receive a provisional (trial) licence granting access to the second phase.
